Valentine’s Whipped Cream Sensory!

Get messy but stay sweet <3

This is a super simple taste and touch sensory activity that also happens to be a huge crowd pleaser 😉

However, I have ruined the lives of two friends who disliked it greatly (and loudly) from the moment it touched them, so don’t be completely surprised if you have a kiddo who isn’t a sticky sensory lover 🙂

It only took one tub of cool whip to fill this shallow pan – I used a shallow pan to allow for drawing and writing as you’ll see below.

Then I sprinkled traditional candy hearts and also these candy hearts I found at dollar tree for some size variation (easy math component by asking simple questions like – can you find the pink hearts? Is this pink heart big or small? Can you find the small red heart?)

Sensory tip: When doing a sensory activity that is edible, I make a point to use a food related container and do the activity in an eating related area. This helps them differentiate between which activities are ok to put in their mouth and which are not.

I also make sure if I’m doing something edible that every part is edible to avoid something not safe getting popped in their mouths.

Because you know…it’s going in their mouths 😆

If you’re using a shallow pan like this one, you can add a language and math component by drawing letters, shapes, even writing your names!

MMMMM! A writing tool and tasty treat!

Not enough snow outside?

Introducing the tastiest snowman ever!

Toddler approved indeed 🙂

…and yes I had to cut him off 😆

Ms. Jerica needed her friend to be able to take a nap later 😉
